Villa Julia - Pompei

Very close to Pompei archological site and short car trip to Vesuvius. Clean and tidy, owner very helpful and is a bike owner. Good on him! Good restuarant within walking distance. Road network locally is very difficult due to narrow roads and indifferent drivers. Don't park under fruit trees and have leaves touching vehicle, also don't leave windows slightly open. If you do, the ants will have moved in and started cleaning your car for free. NOTE: You'll need at least half a day to see the Pompei site properly and you need to be reasonably fit to walk up to the Vesuvius crater from the car park. 30 minutes walk. But, worth doing. Nice garden with lots of chairs and tables.

In the web pages it was mentioned that all of the rooms have balconies, but our room did not have one. We asked the possibility to change the room, but that was not possible. Also our room was full of ants, which we at first poisoned ourselves with a insecticide spray. The breakfast contained only a few dirrent dishes which ran out quickly and no more were added.

The terrace view was amazing, overlooking the mountains and Vesuvius. Watching the artist paint in the garden added a unique charm to our stay.

Super clean. Everything worked. Quiet. Attractive and well maintained.

Distance to ruins was considerable and roads were confusing even with GPS. Signs non-existent.

The attention given by the staff and the indications to visit Pompei. The nice garden to have dinner, looking at the Vesuvius.

It's difficult to find and the access road is bad, but had some traffic during the day.

Area very run-down. Bed uncomfortable. Cleaning not great - found a dirty sock in the room.

Villa Julia was a charming retreat, with its beautifully maintained gardens and fine views of Mount Vesuvius. The staff were accommodating and attentive. I particularly appreciated the quiet atmosphere, perfect for relaxation.

Wi-Fi connectivity could use improvement.

We were treated like royalty by the staff and the breakfast was very good with lots of nutritious choices and great coffee!

Everything was perfect, accommodating staff, stunning location not far from a railway station, the gardens with exquisite views of the sunset, and main attractions in Pompei. I was here for 2 nights and ate at outdoor restaurant for our dinner. I had a fridge and glassware.

We've found this as a quite and peaceful location for almost a week of our family holidays. Excellent base for sightseeing thru the region (preferably by car except Napoli) then having relax in the broad garden of villa. Triple room is quite comfortable. Continental breakfast added by choice of ham and cheese, cakes and delicious home-made croissants

1 good location, close to the tourist spots that we wanted to visit 2 the facility was nice and clean, our host was very helpful and friendly, 3 wonderful history to the area 4 even though we did not get to travel to vesuvius due to poor weather, we enjoyed our temporary view from our window 5 just up from this location is one of the best restaurants we have visited, very cultural and tasty food.

I like views of the mountains and Vesuvio. Hotels owners are very nice and helpfull. Plaсe is enough quiet. Price is very good.

There was a lot of ants in my room. And location is not enough convinient.
